Today was a very happy day for Gavin. It is his first day of Pre-school! He is hoping that he will have homework. He took his 'Big' T-Rex for show n tell. When we got there I got out of the car to walk him up and he just said bye mom! Seriously he did not want anything to do with me coming up there. So I took him up anyway and he just kept telling me bye. I ran back to the car to get the lady some money and when I came back he said your already back? Bye mom. So he is very excited.
I on the other hand was driving home and could not help but come to a few sad realizations.
1) I being my cute, young, happy, still feel like I am 20 self,-j/k have a son old enough to be in school! When did this happen? How did this happen? I seriously remember sitting in second period like yesterday wondering when the dang bell is going to ring! After having children I have found out a couple things. One it seems like Christmas or any holiday in which we have to spend money to get presents is ALWAYS here! And two time FLIES by.
2) I am now driving a drive that will consume my next 20 plus years of live depending how many children I have. Wow! what a slap in the face. I am not a morning person. I never have been and probably never will be. Now I have to be up and out of the house by 8:45. Judas priest this whole mom thing just gets better and better. hahah

Happy and sad! I can't believe either that Gavin is in preschool. You will be sad for a total of 1 day, after that, you will discover your new found freedom! :) Hope he had a great 1st day!
i love it!! hannah started preschool today too, yea we have kids in the same grade...that is fun. he is such a cutie and looks just like you. and baylie, oh my gosh, she is so adorable!!! i love the chubby cheeks. i know what you mean about the drive and the new "mom" responsibilities that come with kids in school, i felt the same way this morning.
yay! you're sad about preschool? i love the break! haha! congrats on starting a whole new phase of life as a carpool mom! ;) is bailey crawling yet?? t's slow at it but gets around a tiny bit, just wondering!
i was teasing you, girl! ;) that's fun she's really mobile. t's getting better daily and can now get on his knees so he's half pulling himself up. girls are so much more advanced, i tell ya!

Ha ha I have been feeling the same way - when did we start growing up? This is the first year that I have felt more my age, it sucks!! Your kiddos are so cute! I can totally see you in them. Good luck with preschool, I love it!
wouldn't we be the coolest in-laws together? yah, our grandkiddies would be SO spoiled cuz we'd have to always out-do each other! ;) HA!
and SORRY i spelled her name wrong a couple days ago!! ;) hate when people mis-spell my kid's names! oops!
Yay Rach! Gavin is so big! What a little cutie. Baylie is such a doll too. It was so fun to get together the other day. I love how we try to solve all of the problems of the world. We need to get together again soon!
I can't believe he's in preschool already! I did get your blog about changing the layout, just haven't gotten around to it!
