Summer in March?

*** I caught up for the last week so read all the way down 3 posts****

It has been so hot lately. So the other day was so hot so I put the sprinkler out in the yard. It was fun and the kids loved it. The neighbors kids ended up coming over to play also. Gavin and Charlie got the water guns out and started a water fight with Dad! It was so fun.

I am not to sure I am ready for the heat but I guess we don't have a choice right?

Easter!

Well we have 9 am church. I did not want to get up at like 5am and do baskets and have overly tired children. They would want their candy etc. Sooooo the Easter Bunny Left CLUES!

The first one was on the table in the morning and talked about being good in church and class to earn the basket.

The second was 'left' in Daddys Scriptures. It asked how he was in class and told him to put his clothes away etc. (so when he came down and said he had not found another clue I reminded him to put his clothes away)

The third was in his Drawer! And told him where to go! Gav and Daddy got super soakers and Gav also got a tackle box for fishing.

Bays got a my little pony and mini princess( have you seen them they are soooo cute.)

Then I re-hid some of the eggs from the day before. It was super fun.

Been A While!

I know I stink. But, my camera is broken so I have had to use another one and it makes me not as motivated to use it. Anyway, the Saturday Before Easter we went on a VERY fun egg hunt. My Friend Kelli invited us to an egg hunt that her daughters pre-school class puts on every year. The teacher brings like 800 eggs and everyone else is to supply at least 12 per child. There was probably 30 or so kids so that was a TON of eggs! It was nice because all the kids pretty much got to fill there baskets. She also had some eggs with paper that had numbers or said book. So each child got a book and toy as well. Not only that but she had some VERY fun games. The milestone for me was I got to put Baylies hair into her FIRST pony! It was soooo cute! The kids had a blast. Gavin wanted to stop and open EVERY egg before he chose it to check the candy quality(for sure not my kid) I had to tell him to just hurry and put them in his basket because the older kids were going to take them all. We had so much fun and then Gav got to go to Ryleigh's B-day party! That was super fun for him as well. When I asked what presents she got he said pricess EVERYTHING! princess house, toaster, dolls, man why do girls only want pricess stuff? ahahah I love him. He cracks me up!

The same day he was 'working' with Grandpa outside. My Dad was shaving down some metal and Gav told him Grandpa you can't cut metal and my dad said yes you can I will in a minute. Gav said I told you Grandpa you can't cut metal. So my Dad finally cut it and Gav said 'well I never saw that coming' WHAT! where does he get this stuff.

Oprah and her friend Korihor

My nephew sent me this the other day. It is so scary how good people are being deceived by people and that they choose to in turn deceive other. I love Oprah but I am not going to support her anymore.

I thought this was pretty interesting when I read it. My mind immediately went to Alma and Korihor.

"'Oprah and Friends' to teach course on New Age Christ"

Oprah Winfrey, beginning January 1, 2008, on her daily radio program
will offer a year-long course on the New Age Christ , in a lesson a day and
completely cover the 365 lessons from the Course in Miracles 'Workbook.'

Listeners will be encouraged to buy A Course in Miracles for the
year-long course, and an audio version, recited by Richard (John Boy Walton)
Thomas will be available on compact disc.

Those who finish the Course will have a wholly redefined spiritual
mindset-a New Age worldview that includes the beliefs that there is no sin,
no "evil", and no "devil". A Course in Miracles teaches its students to rethink
everything they believe about God and life, and, bluntly states: 'This is a
course in mind training' and is dedicated to 'thought reversal.'

Oprah told her television audience that Williamson's book, A Course in Miracles was one of her favorite books, and that she had already bought a thousand copies and would be handing them out to everyone in her studio audience. Oprah's endorsement skyrocketed Williamson's book to the top of the New York Times bestseller list.

A Course in Miracles is allegedly a 'new revelation' from 'Jesus' to
help humanity work through these troubled times. This 'Jesus'-who bears no
doctrinal resemblance to the Bible's Jesus Christ-began delivering channeled
teachings in 1965 to a Columbia University Professor of Medical Psychology,
Helen Schucman.

One day Schucman heard an 'inner voice' stating, 'This is a course in
miracles. Please take notes.' For seven years she diligently took spiritual
dictation from this voice that described himself as 'Jesus.'

Here are some quotes from the 'Jesus' voice of A Course in Miracles:

'There is no sin .
A 'slain Christ has no meaning.'
The journey to the cross should be the last '"useless journey."
"Do not make the pathetic error of 'clinging to the old rugged cross.''
'The Name of Jesus Christ as such is but a symbol... It is a symbol that
is safely used as a replacement for the many names of all the gods to which
you pray.'
'The recognition of God is the recognition of yourself.'
'The Atonement is the final lesson he [man] need learn, for it teaches
him that, never having sinned, he has no need of salvation.'

- Now go and read Alma 30, I think Korihor's teachings start somewhere around verse 12 or so. Look at the similarities between what Korihor taught and what this book states.

Daddy and Gav riding up the Gondola

Mommy and Gav~he was way more interested in being so high up than a pic with me!

A little pep talk from dad

~For those of you who may not know(from all of my winter posting!) Alan and I are very avid snowboarders! We have been for years. We just kept debating when the right time to start our kids was. Well this trip to Utah we decided that it was for sure time to start Gav. He was MUCHO excited. He love to watch it and he know that mommy and Daddy do it. When we asked if he wanted to learn to Snowboard he said I already know how! You just put your feet in and then go and then jump onto the box things and slide down! Duh! Well when we got up there and got him all ready to go he just wanted to do it by himself. So after a little talking to from dad he was off! I must say he is a natural! I think he might even be the next Shawn White. ahah anyway he was super good. When he would turn he would say did you see my cool trick? Then he asked where all the boxes are like mommy does~! how cute. Gav you did so good. Mom and Dad are so proud of you!He only fell a little and LOVED it. Wow it's gonna be hard living in AZ with not so much snow.

He's off!

We had a great time in Utah hanging out with fam. We ate and shopped and talked. I love my sisters.

Fishing

Gavin got a fishing pole for Christmas, so he has been wanting to go fishing for a while. In Texas it was not that easy for us to take him. Well Alan went and got a fishing license and then they decided to go fishing at Red mountain Park. It is a stocked lake. Well him, Gav, and little Bays set out at 2:30pm when Gav got done with school. I went to my hair appt. When I got home at 4pm they were not back yet. I though wow they must be doing well. So I had to go to my good friends baby shower at 5:30pm. I got home at 7 and there was a made burrito and no ones cars were home so I figured that there must be something wrong. I called my mom and my hubby had locked the keys in the CAR! Oh my gosh. I had to laugh at first because I have done this and he has given me so much crap! But then I thought about how my babies had been out there since 2:30 are you kidding? Anyway he forgot the camera and it was sad but they lived.
