So I went down to Rocky Point in high school for the first time and LOVED it. As I got older I would venture down with friends a lot. When I started dating Alan I talked a lot about Mexico. I love the food, the culture the vacation everything. Alan went down once when we were dating with a friend and after we got married we started heading down at least twice a year. Well no one else in my family except Sarah had been down. So we kept trying to talk them into going. Finally we succeeded. We went down for a week. Played in the ocean, shopped, ate super good food. I did try something new this time. We ate Chicken at Pollo Lucas. Hello it was OUT of THIS WORLD! Loved it. The kiddos had a blast. We all got major rash burn! I forgot about that. ahahh

The Sunflowers were taller than me by a good foot! We had a lot of rain this year so they were beautiful. I love being able to relax and read and not have TV or phones etc. We read the last twilight while we were up there. Good times!

So we went to our cabin this year. It has been a good couple years since we have gone. We have lived out of state so we never got there. It is a wonderful place. I have so many memories as a kid up there. It is pretty and cool in the summer time. The kids had a ball just playing outside, fishing, getting dirty and roasting starburst over the campfire. Our cabin is not close to any main roads. We take a private road that is not paved into it. On our way out this AMAZING storm had rolled in. I have NEVER in my life seen a storm like this. I got out to open the gate to our property and let the cars out. When I got out and opened the gate it started POURING! I mean it was coming down so hard that the drops were throwing mud back up onto me. So both cars got through and I was running back to our car and broke my flip flop in the mud of river that was not flowing. We started trying to get out and Golfball sized hail started coming down. HARD and FAST and a LOT! So we continued to drive and it kept hailing and hailing and raining. Pretty soon it was like driving on solid ice and we all got stuck! We had to wait the storm out and then dig out. It was super fun and scary. It's is fun to post these pictures because I know my family out of state does not picture an Arizona like this! We were able to also hike around and we went to a spring with indian pictographs. I am waiting for the pictures from SARAH! So I will post them later. When I was little we would hunt for pottery and arrowheads. It is so fun to see my kids doing the same things.
