mostly caught up

I am mostly caught up so skroll down a ways and read about our last couple months.

If you want a Christmas card. Email me your addy. rachbos44@yahoo.com

It's a......

Little man number 2 is on the way! April 11th is the due date but since I am a c-section momma it will most likely be april 2 or 3rd!

Halloween!

This has to be one of my FAVORITE holidays. I mean really who doesn't like going door to door and essentially begging for free Candy? I LOVE candy too. I would rather have some sort of candy that baked goods. Candy is like a drug for me. When I was little I would save all my money to go to Osco drugs and get candy. So when after going just around the block Gavin asked to be done I was a little annoyed. Hey bud we have 3 more blocks to go. Not to mention my little cheerleader was getting us extra goods because everyone LOVES ASU! ( well at least we all DID, ughhh rudy)

We had fun anyway. It was still pretty hot for October I think.

Miss Baylie and her early Terrible 2's

So Bays has got to be one of the most mischeivious, sassy, cute, smart little girls out there. She has seriously hit her terrible 2's and she still has a couple months to go!

The other morning I gave her a bath and then went to get dressed and stuff. I didn't hear her for a while and so I went looking for her. I came up the stairs to find this:
She LOVES Lotion. So I put her back in the bath and then she came out with the shampoo upside down and a trail from the bath to my room.

Note HOME!!

When we started Young Learners this year I knew that Gav would be what should I say Social? I mean truly he comes by that completely honestly. I was moved chairs quiet often in my school days for what my teachers would call 'excessive' talking. Now I would not call it that. I just had to converse with my people. You know about what teach was saying and what was going on around campus the norm.

Anyway, So I went in for Gavins parent teacher conference and his teacher told me that he is the 'Chatty Kathy' of the class. I just smiled. She said that the problem is that he is just SOOO funny she doesn't ever tell him to be quiet. But, she did however, have to switch him seats for the first time. She, in a very smart decision I might add, put him by the 2 quietest girls in class. (I did not have the heart to tell her that those 2 girls probably will not be quiet after sitting by Gav.) :)

So about a week later I pick him up from school and he says,

G:'Mom, I was bad in Music class."

M: Well what did you do?

G: I forgot.

M: What do you mean you forgot?

G: Well I forgot but theres a note in my backpack that you have to sign.

WHat!!! So I pull out the note. It is Bright Green. I might add that this is Gavs fav color. So I am sure he did not get the severity of that. It read.

Your child was asked to leave and not participate in music today due the the following reasons...

There was about 10 choices and these where the 2 marked. Making obscene gestures and not following instructions.

Ok, so now I am panicking a little. I was thinking did he learn to flip someone off? what was he doing?

So I told Gav that we were going to go and talk to his teach and that he had to apologize for acting up in class.

I come in and she says Gavin tell you mom what you did. ALARM~ don't you think I already asked him? I am here to talk to YOU. Let me deal with him. Anyway, he told her he forgot. So she says well this has been going on for 3 weeks now and I just sent you a note. Today he had already been asked not to run in class and then he ran again.

REALLY? is THAT ALL? I know Gav and he would just run because he's excited about something. So I bite my tongue and say OK?

And then I asked the kids to line up in this corner of the room and they were suppose to be following me in a STRAIGHT line. I turned around and Gavin was dancing.

WAIT WAIT WAIT....hold up. For those of you who know me I am pretty witty. I have been known to be very sarcastic and sometimes perceived as even rude. Now I am trying to be the professional parent here ya know. But I am thinking well, was there MUSIC playing? Because I don't know how you do things in your MUSIC class but in our family if theres music we dance! and do you REALLY have nothing better to do than kick my kid out of class for running and dancing? Judas priest.

So I said thank you it will never happen again and walked out?

What do you all think is that lame or do you think it warrants a note home and all?

Happy Birthday Gavers!

This post is late I am just catching up!

So my oldest turned 5! Seriously time flys. It is crazy. Gavin is such a great big helper to his mom. He is the best big brother any sister could ask for. He is so protective and loving to his sister. Gav likes everyone to feel included. He wants everyone to have fun and have a good time. He also loves when people laugh and will do anything to get them to laugh.

Happy Birthday bud. We love you!

Bays hair!

So I went down to Rocky Point in high school for the first time and LOVED it. As I got older I would venture down with friends a lot. When I started dating Alan I talked a lot about Mexico. I love the food, the culture the vacation everything. Alan went down once when we were dating with a friend and after we got married we started heading down at least twice a year. Well no one else in my family except Sarah had been down. So we kept trying to talk them into going. Finally we succeeded. We went down for a week. Played in the ocean, shopped, ate super good food. I did try something new this time. We ate Chicken at Pollo Lucas. Hello it was OUT of THIS WORLD! Loved it. The kiddos had a blast. We all got major rash burn! I forgot about that. ahahh

The Sunflowers were taller than me by a good foot! We had a lot of rain this year so they were beautiful. I love being able to relax and read and not have TV or phones etc. We read the last twilight while we were up there. Good times!

The Cabin!

Real Cowboy cabin~ they stay in when cows are grazing
Gavs homemade fishing pole

So we went to our cabin this year. It has been a good couple years since we have gone. We have lived out of state so we never got there. It is a wonderful place. I have so many memories as a kid up there. It is pretty and cool in the summer time. The kids had a ball just playing outside, fishing, getting dirty and roasting starburst over the campfire. Our cabin is not close to any main roads. We take a private road that is not paved into it. On our way out this AMAZING storm had rolled in. I have NEVER in my life seen a storm like this. I got out to open the gate to our property and let the cars out. When I got out and opened the gate it started POURING! I mean it was coming down so hard that the drops were throwing mud back up onto me. So both cars got through and I was running back to our car and broke my flip flop in the mud of river that was not flowing. We started trying to get out and Golfball sized hail started coming down. HARD and FAST and a LOT! So we continued to drive and it kept hailing and hailing and raining. Pretty soon it was like driving on solid ice and we all got stuck! We had to wait the storm out and then dig out. It was super fun and scary. It's is fun to post these pictures because I know my family out of state does not picture an Arizona like this! We were able to also hike around and we went to a spring with indian pictographs. I am waiting for the pictures from SARAH! So I will post them later. When I was little we would hunt for pottery and arrowheads. It is so fun to see my kids doing the same things.

SERIOUSLY!

Hey Everyone,

I know it has been a LONG while since I have posted. And for those of you who need photos I know this isn't your favorite post but It is super important that I post this.

Once of my best friends stacie was out Saturday going door to door getting signatures to help fight prop 8 in California. For those that don't know Prop 8 is based on Marriage and taking out the man and a women part. I am going to copy an email that I got talking about the consequences of the prop passing. It is so scary to think the world is coming to this. Bishops in Cali have been warned. The church has also called a specialist in every ward to learn as much as they can about this.

I encourage you all to sign up to receive email from unitedfamilies.org. This website is amazing. It talks about all the different things going on in our world to tear apart the family.

Gary Lawrence, the statewide director of the grassroots effort under ProtectMarriage.com coalition, has compiled his list of Six Consequences if Prop 8 Fails. I have listed them below for your reference.

Six Consequences If Proposition 8 Fails

1.Children in public schools will be taught that both traditional marriage and same-sex marriage are okay.

The California Education Code already requires that health education classes instruct children about marriage. (§51890)

Therefore, if the definition of marriage is changed, children will be taught that marriage is a relation between any two adults. There will be serious clashes between the secular school system and the right of parents to teach their children their own values and beliefs.

2. Churches will be sued if they refuse to allow same-sex marriage ceremonies in their religious buildings that are open to the public. Ask whether your pastor, priest, minister, bishop, or rabbi is ready to perform such marriages in your chapels and sanctuaries.

3. Religious adoption agencies will be challenged by government agencies to give up their long-held right to place children only in homes with both a mother and a father. Catholic Charities in Boston has already closed its doors because of the legalization of same-sex marriage in Massachusetts.

4. Religions that sponsor private schools and which provide housing for married students will be required to provide housing for same-sex couples, even if it runs counter to church doctrine, or lose tax exemptions and benefits.

5. Ministers who preach against same-sex marriages will be sued for hate speech and could be fined by the government. It has already happened in Canada, one of six countries that have legalized gay marriage.

6. It will cost you money. A change in the definition of marriage will bring a cascade of lawsuits. Even if courts eventually find in favor of a defender of traditional marriage (highly improbable given today's activist judges), think of the money – your money, your church contributions – that will have to be spent on legal fees.

And think of all the unintended consequences that we cannot even foresee at this time. Where will it end?

It's your children, your grandchildren, your money, and your liberties.

Lets work together to protect them.

Summer Lovin....

loving her goggles

Gavin doing Tricks

Goggles?
I know it has been way to long since I have posted. My life right now consists of swim lessons, boutiques and my children swimming in the pool. They are my kids for sure! They LOVE the water. Baylie thinks she can swim. She runs and jumps in and just kicks and waits for us to get her. She smiles the whole time. ahah She also gets on the side and leans over like she is going to dive and say 2,2,2(instead of 1,2,3) So funny. She learned to use the noodle and kicks all over. She also LOVES to wear goggles.

Gav finished his lessons with Court. To bad he is such a little show man. he can swim but he just really likes to play and show off! I am sure Court was so frustrated but thanks anyways. ahahh He love to swim. He plays and plays. He likes when friends come to swim as well.

Eternity!

WOW! This has been a rough week for more than one family. As friends mourn the loss of family I just needed to take a moment and share my thoughts. I am so thankful for Temple Marriage. I can breathe easier knowing that no matter where this life or the next may take me, I ALWAYS have my family. That makes my steps a little lighter helps me sleep a little easier. However, knowing that and not knowing how long it make take to start the 2nd half of my eternity makes me want to hold my children tighter. Love my family deeper. I am thankful for a worthy priesthood holding husband. I Love this church. I love my family and friends. I know families are forever! I am thankful that eventhough some may loose children they will raise those sweet spirits. They will know them forever.......

CRAZY WEEK!

So this has been one of the craziest weeks EVER! It started last Friday....
One of my FAVORITE people came to town. That would be my sister Jen. So we planned to go to the Dbacks game on Friday night. We went with our friends the Mullins and there kiddos and Gavin and my sis and our friend Conley. Super fun!

Gavin put down SO much food. He had a hot dog. I got pizza and he had a slice and a half of that, soda, cotton candy, licorice, peanuts, his own pretzel with cheese. And he wanted to keep going. I had to put an end to it! We had a blast with our friends.

Well another great milestone happened that night as well... The opening of Sex and the City the movie. I am a HUGE SATC fan! I love it. So I was super excited. I got Jen into it and my friend Sammy is way into it so her friend Marin, Sammy, Jen and I all went to an 11pm showing. I must say it was a great movie. I LOVED it! WE saw some VERY interesting people there. The first pic is of some girls who truly thought that they were the SATC girls. Very entertaining. Not mention sock/sandal gay man in front of us! Seriously I thought gay men had good style.
Sock with Sandals is a HUGE no no.

Socks with sandals man~ my arm so we could get pic of SATC wanabes~me and my sis.

Monday I started Swim lessons! I LOVE teaching. The first day is always the hardest but it is great. I love seeing all the kids succeed.

Wednesday , I had my boutique. Super fun. AMAZING turn out and great product.

Thursday, Jen, Alan , and I went and saw Ironman. Great movie as well.

And last night Jen and I went for seconds to SATC. Just as good the second time. 1 thing I must mention though. WE went AMC on Stapley/basline. As we are standing in line to buy our beloved DP and Popcorn I see a new special called 'clicks picks' you can get any of the items in the display for $3/each or 3 for 7.50 so i say Oh lets get 2 dps and the popcorn. I'll get this one Jen. So I grab my usual LARGE stack of napkins and look up just in time to see candy man turning around with 2 sodas the size of a sippy cup!!! Jen and I LOST it! We just started laughing. Mind you in the picture provided these looked to be 32oz at least! So we are laughing and he comes back walking almost in a tip toe as not to spill our maybe 20oz cup of popcorn. NOW we really lOst it! So we laugh all the way to our theatre and then I say Oh would you like a napkin or 30 for you handful of popcorn. To which Jen replies OH thats ok I got my own! and she pull out a huge stack herself. SERIOUSLY!??
